Kano offers employment to best-graduating nursing students

The Kano State Government has committed to providing automatic employment opportunities for the top graduates of Nafisatu College of Nursing Sciences in Kwankwaso village, Kano. This initiative aims to address the manpower deficit in the state’s healthcare sector.

During the certificate presentation ceremony for 36 successful graduates, who recently became Registered Nurses accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf made the announcement. He emphasized that offering jobs to these graduates is crucial for enhancing healthcare services, aligning with the NNPP blueprint for improved access to quality healthcare in Kano.

Governor Yusuf, represented by Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, commended the outstanding performance of the new nurses in their professional examinations. He reminded them of the responsibility that comes with being qualified nurses, emphasizing their duty to serve humanity.

The Governor also praised Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the founder of Nafisatu Nursing College, for establishing the first private Nursing college in Kano. He expressed optimism that the college would play a vital role in addressing the shortage of health workers in the region.

Governor Yusuf extended congratulations to the graduates and their parents for enduring the challenges of their studies. He reassured the commitment of the current administration to prioritize the health sector for the well-being of the state’s population.
