16-year-old earns nursing degree, youngest in Arizona State University

A nursing degree has been achieved by a 16-year-old girl who completed an accelerated program in just one year at Arizona State University. A celebratory event was held for Elliana Tenenbaum and fellow students at the university on Thursday.

According to KPHO, Tenenbaum entered the fast-track nursing program at 15 and diligently completed it within approximately a year. At present, at the age of 16, she holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Tenenbaum stated, “I am extremely thrilled. This marks the culmination of all the hard work I invested in this nursing program.”

Her father, Dr. Steven Tenenbaum, introduced her to the medical field at a young age. While still in high school, she chose to enroll in college courses, gaining an early advantage in the program.

“I recognized that this was the correct path for me, and I saw no reason to hold myself back when I could initiate my progress,” explained Elliana Tenenbaum.

Steven Tenenbaum mentioned that his daughter was studying subjects at the age of 14 that he himself tackled in his twenties.

“Her capacity to grasp concepts is exceedingly impressive. Her dedication and diligent effort are truly remarkable,” praised Steven Tenenbaum.

Looking ahead, Elliana Tenenbaum is already contemplating her next steps.

“I have already submitted applications for several nursing positions. My goal is to pursue a doctorate or a nurse practitioner role,” she shared.

While possessing a driving permit, Elliana Tenenbaum is concurrently striving to secure her driver’s license.
